You may be asking,

“Jonathan, does God really love me? My spouse left me, I lost my job, I have cancer. Can He deliver me from my sin? I have stolen money from my employee. I struggle with pornography. I want more than I already have. If only you knew what I have done. Can Jesus really forgive me and set me free?

The answer is a resounding YES!!!

It is because Jesus has all of the Power and Authority to break the shackles and chains of sin that have you bound. HE is more than willing to set you free because of His Love for you! Just look at the Cross!

The Bible tells us:

“God demonstrates His Own Love for us in this, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“In Him we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the Riches of His Grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:6)

God loves you and desires to have a personal relationship with YOU!!! HE created you for relationship. HE wants you to experience Peace and have Eternal Life.

”We have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life.” (John 3:16)

“I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Why do most people settle for a life that is absent of true Peace and abundant life?

We are separated from God because of sin.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

“For the wages of sin is death but the Gift of God is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, we continually fail in our attempts to reach God.

“There is a way that seems right to man but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 14:12)

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His Face from you so that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2)

So what do we do? How can we get to God? God has provided the Cross. Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sin and bridge the gap between a Holy God and unholy people.

The way of the Cross was God’s plan for our of reconciliation.  Faith in Jesus alone is our way back into a relationship with God.

“Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it. Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it.”(Matthew 7:13)

And yet, we can cling to the promise that Jesus will “reconcile all things to Himself...having made Peace through the Blood of His Cross.” (Colossians 1:20)

Is Jesus truly the answer?

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus.”

I Timothy 2:5

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” 1 Peter 3:18

God has provided a way for you to experience life change. But you have to make a choice. Will you choose to give your heart and your life to Jesus today?

Scripture offers us the promise of salvation and new life in Christ Jesus:

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

“Yet to all who have received Him, to those who believe in His Name, He gave the right to become Children of God.” 1 John 1:12

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto Righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

You may be in bondage right now. You may be enslaved to sin. Those sins are squeezing the very life out of you. Jesus has come to set you free! The question is, are you willing to come to Jesus? Are you willing to take a step of Faith, overcome any opposition, and turn from your sin and self to trust Jesus only? HE has come to you. Are you willing to come to Him?

How can you receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life?

  1. Admit your need. You are a sinner and you need a Savior.

  2. Be willing to turn from your sins and turn to Jesus Christ (Repent).

  3. Believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God, that He died for your sins on the Cross, was dead, buried, & raised from

the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended into Heaven, and will come again to take you to be with

    Him in Heaven.

  4. Commit your life to Him by Faith and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.

Are you ready to give your heart to Jesus? Then pray: Dear Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your Forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

If you prayed to give your heart and life to Jesus, I want you to know that prayer doesn’t save you. Jesus does! I also want to be the first to welcome you to the Family! Welcome Home!

The Bible tells us that...

“Whosoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

“For it is by Grace you have been saved, through Faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have Eternal Life.” 1 John 5:12-13

Giving your heart and your life to Jesus is only the beginning of an incredible journey! In order to grow in your new relationship with Jesus you need to:

Tell someone of the decision that you have made. Please tell us. We want to rejoice with you!

Read your Bible everyday. I would suggest that you begin with the first Chapter of John. Pray and ask God to speak to you then read a couple of verses a day chronologically and think about them throughout the day.

Tell others about the life change that God has brought about in you through His Son Jesus. Attend and get plugged into a church where the Bible is taught and Jesus is exalted! Demonstrate your new life in Christ by showing your love and concern for others around you!
