26 years ago today, I underwent surgery for cancer. I was afraid of the unknowns & what if's. I knew that if I died, I would be with Jesus in Heaven but my flesh still wrestled with fear.
The morning of my surgery, my Mom & I had devotions together & prayed with my surgeon, Dr Thomas Mawn. These were 3 of the passages of Scripture that the Lord used to speak life into my fears. God did not say that I would be cancer free or that I would lose 50lbs. HE promised that He would carry me.
I praise God for His Word & for His Hand that I still cling to today as He continues to carry me through the trials, tragedies & triumphs of life.
